Through the SUNY Reconnect initiative, New York State residents between the ages of 25 and 55 can earn a free 2-year associate degree in growing, high-demand fields such as healthcare, technology, engineering, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, and teaching. Open to both full-time and part-time students, the program covers tuition, fees, books, and supplies after standard tuition assistance is applied. Starting in fall 2026, adult learners pursuing eligible nursing degrees may qualify even if they already hold a prior college degree. To learn more or apply, visit
