If your child has a fever, it is not a good idea to give them medicine like Tylenol or Advil and then send them to school. This will result in a situation where the medicine wears off, a fever may return and you will be called to come and pick up your child.
STUDENT DROP OFF:
Due to the high volume of students being dropped off in the morning, effective Monday, Sept. 28th, we are going to implement a slight change in the morning procedure. We are asking parents/guardians who are dropping off the student to drive to the side of the school and drop their child(ren) off at the side of the Library (art statute). After dropping off, please continue to drive around the back parking lot and back down the driveway exiting onto West Street via a right hand turn.
This will take place in the front vestibule (between the double doors) of the building this year. The parent/guardian will sign the student(s) in on the Late Arrival Log on the table in the vestibule. The office will then fill out a "Tardy Slip" with the student's name, date, time & reason they were late for the student to take to class and give to their teachers.
This will also take place in the front vestibule. Please document your child's early dismissal on the Pick Up Patrol program, this way the office and the teacher will be notified what time your child will be picked up. When you are buzzed in, please show ID through the window and sign out your child on the pink Early Dismissal Log on the table in the vestibule. We will call your child in their classroom and they will walk out to you in the vestibule. Parents will not be permitted to come into the building and wait this year. Unless it is absolutely neccessary, we ask that you please refrain from picking up students early during this time.
ITEM DROP OFF:
If there is a need to drop any items off to a student during the school day, we will have a container with a lid just outside the front doors. Please be sure to have the students name clearly displayed on the item. If there are multiple items, please be sure to have them in a labeled bag.
END OF THE DAY PICK UP:
The end of the day pick up will be done outside and we will bring your child to you this year. In order for this proces to run smoothly, it will require you to use the Pick Up Patrol program so the staff and teacher are aware of who is being picked up in advance. This will take place during three different time frames. It is imperative you are lined up at the assigned time and ready to pick up your child(ren) to make this work. You will pull around the back of the school by the playground so your car is facing east toward West Street. There will be plenty of staff members outside to ensure the safety of the students during this process . Your patience will be very important on a daily basis.
