Grade 4 students in the Virtual Program had an exciting visit today! John Polka, stadium manager for the Buffalo Bills, gave the students a virtual tour of the Bill’s locker room and training facility. In addition, John walked the students through the tunnel into the stadium as the Shout Song played. John answered a lot of questions for students. Students will get a special treat from the Buffalo Bills in their next materials pick up.

NWVP Saint Patrick’s Day Social. On March 17, 54 families logged in for the St. Patrick’s Day Family Social. After several interruptions by a sneaky leprechaun who turned lips green and shrunk hats, students listened to Miss Fleming and Mrs. Golias read "Jamie O’Rourke and the Big Potato". Afterwards, Mrs. Seager led students in drawing a leprechaun with a pot of gold. Thanks to all the parents who helped with planning, skittle treats, and invitations. We are looking forward to our next family social. More details will be coming soon.

Mrs. Seager’s and Miss Fleming’s Virtual Kindergarten students had a great time celebrating the 100th Day of School! We made a special craft that showed our 100 year old faces! We even used white cotton for our hair! We dressed up like we were 100! Everyone shared a 100 collection - there were so many creative collections! We wrote about what we will be like when we are 100. We also did some 100 challenges - we jumped, snapped, clapped, and tapped - all while we were counting to 100! It was a great day! We are all so excited to be 100 days smarter and happy that our kindergarten learning will continue for the rest of the school year!

Grade 4 virtual students had some NU Women's basketball players talk to the students about playing a college sport and balancing the schoolwork with travel, practices, and games. They gave students a tour of their locker room, break room, and even had the students try out a few of their warm up stretches.

The virtual Kindergarten students in Miss Fleming and Mrs. Seager's classes completed a Valentine’s Day craft to celebrate together! They ripped the paper instead of cutting it. This helps improve hand strength and endurance! The valentine said “I love you to pieces!”
