5th Grade Virtual Students finished their STEM project constructing a marshmallow catapult. The students used supplies such as rubber bands, popsicle sticks and plastic spoons to build their catapult. They launched mini marshmallows into a yummy hot chocolate treat!

Grade 4 virtual students had some NU Women's basketball players talk to the students about playing a college sport and balancing the schoolwork with travel, practices, and games. They gave students a tour of their locker room, break room, and even had the students try out a few of their warm up stretches.

The virtual Kindergarten students in Miss Fleming and Mrs. Seager's classes completed a Valentine’s Day craft to celebrate together! They ripped the paper instead of cutting it. This helps improve hand strength and endurance! The valentine said “I love you to pieces!”

Virtual kindergartners are all heart! Kindergarten students played the Mystery Picture game using our skills with the numbers 1-100. The children had to color the numbers that were called and see if they could create the mystery picture. They did a great job and were thrilled when the heart started to appear!

Virtual students in Mrs. McFadden's fourth grade classes had a visit today from Elyse Smith, Storm Team 2 Meteorologist. She conducted an experiment with the students, talked about being a meteorologist and answered questions. The students were very interested in tornados!

Ms. Fazio's grade 2 sections, with students from all elementary buildings, met virtually yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Berical’s in-person West Street class. Students brought a favorite stuffed animal, hot cocoa, and a favorite book! Virtual students were able to catch up and visit with some former classmates now at West. Here are some of the comments from students who attended:
*Let’s do it again!!!
*I'm sorry to say this, but why do we have to leave?
*Do we have to leave?
