• DNA Ms. Swanson's Living       Environment

        Living Environment is a regents biology course. This means that in June all students will take a state exam and must complete all labs in order to be eligible for the exam. The course covers the basics of all areas of biology. It is very vocabulary intensive. For every unit students will receive a vocabulary list and activity to help prepare them for the unit. Students MUST know all vocabulary to be able to answer regents style questions at the end of the unit. Students will also see many diagrams, graphs and pictures on tests and the exam that they must interpret and analyze.

     Lab Correction for "Who's the Daddy":  Find every AAGCTT combination and cut between the A/A. Tape strands with 29 bases above the chart and label it. There should be 10 DNA fragments for each person, 5 on each strand.
